Meet Our Team

1-Cécile Parain

Osteopath D.O. - Director of Bulb Osteopathy

Hi, I am Cecile, Director of Bulb Osteopathy.

Since I've been Osteopath, I always had the feeling that pregnant women, mothers and women in general, needed more specific cares. As a sportsman relied on his Osteopath during a competition, pregnant women need a gentle and made to measure osteopathic care to help them go through the marathon of bringing life.

After working as Osteopath at Bulb for one year, it was with a great honour that I took the role of Director in 2016. My goal is to keep developing a cosy clinic where a number of talented practitioners are dedicated to help growing healthy mums and bubs.

My Credentials:

I first started studying medicine in France for two years and then decided to change course to study Osteopathy. I graduated from COP Aix-Marseille (France) in 2008 after 5 years of full time training. Since graduating, I have worked in South of France and Reunion Island in my own clinic. In 2015, I moved to Sydney in order to settle definitively in this beautiful city. Osteopathy is my passion, and I regularly attend seminars on manual therapy and nutrition about women’s health, paediatrics and obstetrics.

Working Primarily:

Pregnancy: including pelvic pain, pubic symphysitis, pelvic instability, rib and back pain and general exacerbation of any underlying complaints you might have had before becoming pregnant.

Neonates: babies who’ve been through difficult deliveries, hip dysplasia, foot and ankle positional deformities, and odd shaped heads (plagiocephaly).

Paediatrics: falls, toe walking, bum shuffling, sporting injuries.

Cranial: headache, trouble to sleep, ear pain

Visceral: stress, constipation, slow digestion, bloated

2-Kathryn Ashcroft

Osteopath, Master of Osteopathy

I am an upbeat, perceptive and open person who values the relationship between practitioner and patient as a collaborative partnership to restoring health and wellbeing.
My Credentials
Since graduating in 2012 with a Masters of Osteopathy from the renowned British School of Osteopathy, I continued to support patients as an Associate at the school's clinic in central London. I have also travelled throughout Asia, volunteering my osteopathic skills to develop and support healthcare in underdeveloped areas. I established an osteopathic clinic in the mountainous Manang District of Nepal, providing general health checks for the local village people. In India, I developed a program for expectant mothers to educate women on the physical changes of a normal pregnancy, encouraging active participation in birth planning and a proactive approach to their wellbeing.

Working Primarily
I apply osteopathic principles, coupled with my knowledge of anatomy, physiology and functional biomechanics, to understand the root cause of patients’ discomfort.  I adopt structural, functional, fascial, visceral and cranial techniques as a whole body approach to facilitating your body’s recovery to balanced health. Kathryn has focused her post graduate training on understanding how osteopathic treatment can support a healthy pregnancy and the early years of a child’s life.  She is also trained in western acupuncture techniques, sports strapping and gait analysis.

4-Marie Holland

Hello, my name is Marie and I am a accredited clinical nutritionist. I specialise in nutrition for families, pregnancy, pre-conception and children.

Being a mum of three I have seen first hand what effects small changes to our diet can make to our children's behaviour and health, and also dealing with atopic conditions such as eczema and asthma.

Today we live in a world where there are too many fast food options and people are overfed and undernourished. With conflicting information about nutrition currently in the media trying to make the right choice can sometimes feel like a dilemma.

My aim is to provide you with evidence-based nutritional information and support which is tailored to your unique lifestyle, goals and circumstances.

I can help you with nutrition education and advice for:

  • General nutrition and healthy eating for all ages
  • Pregnancy, breastfeeding and pregnancy planning
  • Food intolerance including wheat, gluten and lactose intolerance, and low FODMAP diets
  • Women’s health including period pain, irregular periods, pre menstrual symptoms,  polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS).
  • Weight management
  • Digestive disorders including irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) eg heartburn,  indigestion, constipation & diarrhoea
  • Sugar resistance and impaired glucose tolerance (pre-diabetes) and diabetes
  • Heart health including high cholesterol, triglycerides and blood pressure

In addition to individual support I also enjoy developing and delivering workshops to local community groups and schools. For more information visit
